Onboard InTouch Support and Program Modification for FPSO

Our customer uses an On-board monitoring telemetry system (OMTS) to offload oil or natural gas from an FPSO to a tanker.

Goals

• To create an HMI system that can communicate reliably with a PLC system provided by a different vendor for the OMTS

Challenges

• Create, test, and deploy an HMI application that meets that customer’s requirements on a tight schedule

Solutions Implemented by Plant Werx

• AVEVA^TM InTouch HMI (formerly Wonderware) application was developed and implemented to communicate with the PLC system utilizing Modbus protocol

Results

• AVEVA InTouch HMI (formerly Wonderware) was deployed
• System establishes reliable data communication within the system
