Onboard InTouch Support and Program Modification for an FPSO customer

Our customer uses an offload monitoring telemetry system (OMTS) to offload oil or natural gas from an FPSO to a tanker.

Goals

• To create an HMI system that can communicate reliably with a PLC system provided by a different vendor for the OMTS

Challenges

• Create, test and deploy an HMI application that meets that customer’s requirements on a tight schedule

• Wonderware InTouch HMI application was developed and implemented to communicate with the PLC system using the Modbus protocol

Results

• Wonderware InTouch HMI was deployed and it can establish reliable data communication within the system
